Growing up, arts and crafts were a constant in my life. I wasn’t naturally skilled at first, but persistence turned my curiosity into something meaningful over time.

I spent three wonderful years studying Industrial Design, but after my military service, life took me in a different direction. I explored various industries & careers like insurance, F&B, and retail, searching for work that felt purposeful.

For the next decade, I worked as a photographer, which allowed me to express my creative side. I learned to bring images to life through composition, framing, texture, light, and shadow. Then, during an interior styling photoshoot, I painted my first acrylic artwork to complement the living space. That experience sparked an unexpected passion. One of my early paintings, a large 91cm x 120cm piece, found its way into a café and was purchased by a patron, an affirming moment for me.

As a self-taught painter, my work draws inspiration from architectural forms, geometric shapes, and botanical elements. I’m also guided by impressions from cinematic scenes and stills, aiming to capture fleeting moments of beingness, melancholy, hope, and imagination.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about my journey. Hope my paintings bring you joy and reverie.
